About the Role
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, service-driven Dining & Beverage Operations Manager to lead front-of-house operations across multiple dining and beverage outlets at our private country club. This role is instrumental in delivering exceptional member experiences through thoughtful leadership, refined service standards, and strong collaboration with culinary and hospitality leadership.The Dining & Beverage Operations Manager reports directly to the Director of Hospitality and works side-by-side with the Chef as an equal partner on the organizational chart. This position provides direct leadership to the Bar Manager and oversees all dining rooms and beverage service operations.
Areas of Responsibility
This role oversees food and beverage service across the following outlets:
Main Dining Room & Main Bar
Secondary Bar in the Clubhouse
Poolside Bar & Café
On-course Beverage Cart
Dining and beverage service for club events
Key Relationships
Director of Hospitality: Direct reporting relationship; ensures alignment with club standards, systems, and strategic goals
Chef: Collaborative partnership to ensure seamless front- and back-of-house operations
Bar Manager: Direct report; oversees bar programming, staffing, and beverage execution
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and manage all front-of-house food and beverage operations to ensure a consistently exceptional member and guest experience
Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and evaluate dining room, bar, and service staff
Provide direct leadership and support to the Bar Manager and bartending teams
Maintain presence on the floor during service; engage with members, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns proactively
Enforce club service standards, policies, and fine dining etiquette
Collaborate closely with the Chef to ensure service flow, communication, and presentation consistency
Oversee reservations and daily service execution across all outlets
Ensure all dining and bar spaces are clean, organized, and presentation-ready
Manage POS system updates, troubleshooting, and reporting
Track dining covers, beverage sales, and revenue metrics
Support billing accuracy, event invoicing, and administrative reporting
Attend weekly leadership meetings with Hospitality, Culinary, Golf, Grounds, and Administration teams
Schedule Expectations
Consistent availability on Friday evenings
Frequent weekday evenings
Occasional weekends and designated holidays Flexibility is essential in a member-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of management experience in hospitality, restaurants, fine dining, or private clubs
Demonstrated passion for service and working directly with people
Proven ability to lead and develop front-of-house teams
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with POS systems
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fine dining or private club service environments
Hospitality Management degree or related certification
Proficiency in Google Suite and Excel
Familiarity with beverage programs, inventory controls, and service standards Compensation & Benefits
