About the Role
Description Job Overview: The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent (Temporary) supports the Superintendent in the daily management and maintenance of the golf course and surrounding grounds. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional playing conditions while leading, training, and motivating the maintenance team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about the golf course management profession Compensation: $70,304.00-75,000.00/Yr FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range.
The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and executing daily maintenance operations for the golf course, including greens, tees, fairways, rough, and clubhouse grounds Supervise and lead maintenance staff; provide training, scheduling, and performance feedback Monitor and maintain turf health through proper irrigation, fertilization, and pest management practices Apply fertilizers and plant protectants in accordance with agronomic plans and regulatory requirements Assist in irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repairs Ensure safe operation and maintenance of all equipment Support course setup to ensure optimal playing conditions and consistency Maintain accurate records for chemical applications, water usage, and maintenance activities Assist in managing budgets, inventory, and supply ordering Promote and enforce workplace safety standards Skills &
Qualifications:
Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field (preferred)2-5 years of golf course maintenance experience, preferably at a high-quality facility Knowledge of turfgrass cultural practices, irrigation systems, and pest management Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to obtain and maintain a state pesticide applicator's license Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Education &
