Golf Shop Attendant

Job Overview We are a family owned public golf course located in Douglasville, GA. We are seeking a motivated individual for our Golf Shop with a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience and the individual MUST HAVE GOLF KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE. The Pro Shop Staff is responsible for checking in golfers, assist customers with their purchases and ensure the Pro Shop runs smoothly and efficiently. The shift Hours and Days will vary. A shift could be from 6 or 7am to 12:30pm or 12:30pm to 6pm. Shifts may be during the week or weekends. The ideal person for this position would have an open schedule that could work any day of the week, as the schedule does change from month to month. Applicant must be available to work early morning shifts, afternoon/evening shift and MUST be able to work some weekends. Please do not apply if you cannot work during these times and if you cannot work Saturday and Sundays. Currently we are in need of an individual that is available for some morning shifts that include some weekdays and Saturday &/or Sunday. **ALL JOB INQUIRIES MUST BE SENT THROUGH HERE. The Golf Shop Attendant works independently, operating the Pro Shop independently and this includes alcohol sales. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer serviceOperate the POS (Point of Sale) system to process sales accurately and efficientlyAssist customers with their tee time, assign golf carts and maintain accurate logsMonitor the front counter and check out customersHandle cash transactions, perform cashiering duties which may include alcohol sales and manage cash handling procedures responsibly and accuratelyAnswer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about shop hours or course detailsConduct inventory checks, stock shelves as neededMaintain the cleanliness of the pro shop and assist in cleaning golf carts when neededAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamHave a positive attitude and willingness to help assist customersThe job description may be changed or updated at any time without noticeSkills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering proceduresExperience in retail or golf course environment is highly desirableExcellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries courteouslyAbility to accurately perform golf round transactions, retail and alcohol transactions for all sales transactions and inventory managementBasic math skills for handling cash registers and balancing at shift endGolf knowledge is a requirement for this position**This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings, enjoy engaging with people, and are passionate about providing outstanding service. Please describe how well you know the game and/or have been playing or been around a golf course. Could you be at work at 6:45am to open and work until 12:30pm? We are in need of morning staff & you would be the sole person working the Pro Shop. Do you understand that only one person works in the Pro Shop at a time? This means that you would be the sole person greeting customers, answering calls, checking customers in, ringing up sales that may include alcohol sales and making sure that daily operations run smoothly and correctly. Currently the position we have is for EARLY Morning shifts that would include Weekdays and WOULD REQUIRE A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY shift and may include some Holiday shifts. The work hours would be either 6:45am-12:30pm or 12:30pm to 6pm. Total hours would vary weekly. If the weather is bad we may be closed. Do you have a flexible schedule to work different shifts as needed and would you be able to work at least 1 or 2 Weekday morning shifts and be available for Weekend shifts? Our Pro Shop has 2 people scheduled to manage it daily. One person works Morning shift and the other person works the Afternoon shift.
