Duties Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance throughout the kitchen Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling plates Follow proper knife skills for efficient and safe food preparation Aid in meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Ensure all food service activities adhere to food safety regulations and quality standards Nights and weekends are a must Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting demonstrating familiarity with food handling and service procedures Culinary experience including basic cooking techniques, meal preparation, and kitchen operations preferred Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe environment Skills in menu planning, food presentation, and catering support are advantageous Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation methods required for efficient kitchen workflow Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary expertise while supporting a lively kitchen atmosphere.
