About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations and deliver exceptional experience to members and guests. This role includes golf instruction, club fitting and repair, tournament operations, merchandising, junior golf programming, and golf shop management. The ideal candidate has private club experience, strong customer service skills, and a passion for golf.
• 2 years of experience as an Assistant Golf Professional preferred
• College degree preferred; PGA certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of golf rules, operations, and member services
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Must maintain a professional image and attitude
• Assist the Head Golf Professional with all daily golf operations
• Manage opening and closing procedures for the golf shop and course operations
• Check-in members and guests using Tee Sheet and POS systems
• Provide excellent customer service and handle member/guest inquiries
• Deliver individual and group golf instruction to all skill levels
• Assist with planning, promoting, and executing Mens, Womens, Mixed, and Junior tournaments
• Oversee club repair operations and assist with club fitting services
• Supervise, train, and direct golf operations staff including golf shop, golf cars, and on-course personnel
• Manage golf shop merchandising, inventory, and ordering
• Maintain accurate daily financial reports and revenue tracking
• Reconcile cash receipts and daily sales reports
• Organize charges and collect fees for all golf-related activities
• Ensure proper tee time utilization and scheduling
• Ensure golf cars are available and ready for play
• Maintain strong relationships with members, staff, and suppliers
• Write and edit golf-related news for club communications
• Attend staff meetings and participate in club activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional
