Overview
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in servicing and repairing small engines including diesel engines, for lawn equipment, and other power tools. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and efficiently while ensuring high-quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair small engines, including but not limited to lawn mowers, and small to medium size lawn equipment, chainsaws, and generators.
Perform routine maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Utilize power tools and welding equipment as needed for repairs and modifications.
Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and services.
No customer service involved as you will work for golf course facility
Qualifications
Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably in small engine repair or related fields. Ideally experience with lawn equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
Familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
Proficient in using power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively.
Experience reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
A valid driver's license may be required depending on job responsibilities.
