The Equipment Operator II has been specifically trained to operate specialized equipment and/or to perform specific tasks relative to the maintenance of the golf course grounds.
Responsibilities
Perform all duties and/or tasks relative to the Equipment Operator I positionMaintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machinePerform daily tasks necessary to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safeClean machinery after each useInspect all machines and report any deficiencies to the Equipment TechnicianPerform other functions and routine golf course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent IIBe thoroughly trained for the procedures at each task prior to performing taskFollow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific taskPerform specific tasks related to the Operator I and II training including the following: Tri-plex mow tees, Tri-plex mow approaches, Tri-plex mow fairway collar, Tri-plex mow rough, Aerify greens and tees, Spike greens, Vertical mow greens and tees, Mechanical top dress greens and tees, Operate sod cutter, Mechanical bunker raking, Drainage Installation and repairRequired to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standardsSpecial projects or other duties as assignedRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent educationMust have 6 months experience as an Equipment Operator I or at least one year of experience in golf course operations or similar positionEducation in turfgrass management, or related field, may be substituted for work experience requirement
