Responsibilities
Perform all duties and/or tasks relative to the Equipment Operator I, and II positionsMaintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machinePerform daily tasks necessary to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safeClean machinery after each useInspect all machines and report any deficiencies to the Equipment TechnicianPerform other functions and routine golf course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent IIBe thoroughly trained for the procedures at each task prior to performing taskFollow the guidelines outlined in the Golf Course Management System (GCMS) Manual for each specific taskPerform specific tasks relative to Operator I, II and III training including: Tractor operations; gang mow, aerify, vertical mow, vacuum, sweep, blade, loader/hoe, blower, rake, and spikeCourse service and set upTrenchingOperate a self-contained mowerOperate an out-front rotary mower and accessoriesOperate a chain sawSpecial projects or other duties as assignedRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferredMust have 6 months experience as an Equipment Operator II, or at least two years of experience in golf course operations or similar position.Education in turfgrass management, or related field, may be substituted for all or part of the work experience requirement
