Golf Course Maintenance Worker

This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture, landscaping, and groundskeeping while working outdoors in a vibrant environment. • Maintain lush fairways, greens, tees, and roughs through mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to promote healthy turf growth. • Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. • Assist with irrigation system management by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules. • Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and applying mulch to enhance course aesthetics. • Conduct routine inspections of the course grounds to identify areas needing repair or additional care; perform minor repairs using hand tools. • Support seasonal tasks such as aeration, overseeding, and pest control to maintain high-quality playing conditions. • Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities. • Prior experience or interest in landscaping, gardening, horticulture or land management is preferred but not required; training will be provided. • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance practices is a plus. • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to groundskeeping duties. • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy equipment or materials throughout the day. • Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude in outdoor work environments. • Willingness to learn new skills related to turf care and course maintenance.
