Position Summary The role of Cocktail Server is ideal for someone who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences in an upscale, private club environment.
Cocktail
Servers serve beverages while providing attentive, courteous service to members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Greet members and guests warmly and provide prompt, attentive service
Take beverage and light food orders accurately and deliver in a timely manner
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards
Maintain thorough knowledge of beverage menus, daily specials, and club offerings
Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and club policies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including bar and lounge spaces
Process orders and payments accurately using the club’s POS system
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
Work collaboratively with bartenders, servers, and management to ensure smooth service
Uphold the club’s standards of appearance, etiquette, and confidentiality
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Previous experience as a cocktail server or in hospitality preferred (country club or fine dining experience a plus)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional demeanor with a focus on member satisfaction
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of cocktails, wine, and spirits preferred
Must be at least [state-required age] to serve alcohol
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods

Vision: Clear vision and ability to read written documents, computer screens, and equipment displays are essential for reviewing reports, analyzing data, and assessing operations.
Hearing: Good hearing ability is necessary for effective communication with staff, members, guests, and vendors.
Stamina: The role may involve long hours and extended periods of activity, especially during peak business periods, special events, or banquet functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoor/Outdoor Setting: The majority of work is performed indoors.
Temperature: The work environment may vary in temperature, depending on the location and season. It may include both heated and air-conditioned areas.
Noise Level: The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve moderate to high levels of noise from members, guest, staff, and equipment.
