Overview
Responsible for maintaining and overseeing an exceptional level of service to all members and guests in Front of the House F&B Service areas. Ensures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, cleanliness, and service in all locations and for all personnel. Assist the Catering and Food & Beverage Managers with supervising and training personnel. The Floor Captain will ensure that service is executed in an efficient and budgetary-conscious way, while also making recommendations to allow for improvements in the department.
Essential Functions:
· Complete work for the CCO’s Daily Line Up Reports.
· Perform Daily Line Ups with staff, as needed.
· Run end of day, daily reports from Clubessential, as directed by management.
· Be familiar with the functions, events, and hours of operation across all departments daily.
· Attend the weekly Food & Beverage Meeting as well as the Annual and Quarterly Staff Meetings, as needed.
· Checks and properly reports any equipment malfunctions in their area.
· Checks their location for cleanliness and proper set up prior to the arrival of guests.
· Assists with placing all staff in their assigned areas/with assigned duties based on covers, events, etc. to ensure the highest level of service.
· Carefully supervises personnel throughout their shift to keep personnel on task and to make sure they are executing proper service procedures and can step in, if needed.
· Can properly handle all member/guest issues using the CCO Service Recovery plan and use excellent judgement in deciding when a member of management should become involved in resolving the issue.
· If working a closing shift, executes all proper closing procedures: ensuring all side work has been completed by staff and that the location is secure.
· Assists management with, and makes recommendations for, training staff, improvements in processes and efficiency, and overall improvements.
· Ensures all areas are run with the highest regard to safety and safe handling practices.
· Greeting and seating members and their guests, as necessary.
Banquet Specific Duties:
Help serve, clear, take orders, coffee service and much more with Banquet staff in large groups and small parties.
Assign tasks to staff and check to make sure all tasks have been finished.
Inventory all linen, silverware, glassware, Chairs, Tables, China.
Assist with all AV needs including hooking up mics, projectors, music, TV, conference phones, computer needs, Internet.
Communicate with Banquet chef on timing and buffet needs.
Dining Room Specific Duties:
Ensures that all side work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is accomplished according to schedule.
Ensures that the dining room and other Club areas are secure at the end of the business day.
Assist in taking reservations and checking table reservation schedules.
Serves as a liaison between the dining and kitchen staff.
Maintains an inventory of dining room items including silverware, coffee pots, water pitchers, salt and pepper shakers, sugar bowls, and linen and ensures that they are properly stored and accounted for.

Required Experience:
At least three years of serving in an upscale establishment with some supervisory experience.
Measures of Performance:
Annual reviews, overall satisfaction of the membership with the level of service they receive.
Work Environment:
Long shifts both indoors and outdoors may be required. Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, and rain.
Physical Requirements:
Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs. Must be able to carry chairs and tables when needed. Be able to bend, twist, reach, squat and kneel when necessary.
Expected Hours of Work:
45-50 hours per week, dependent on level of business.
Education/Training Requirements:
A willingness to engage in ongoing education at The Country Club of Orlando.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A variety of work experience in different aspects of the F&B industry.
High School Diploma or GED.
Hospitality or related degree or equivalent relevant experience
