Golf Course Superintendent, Southern Wayne CC

Oversee and maintain turf and playing conditions to the highest level possible by direction of staff scheduling, landscape management, chemical applications, irrigation management, and special cultural practices. – Supervise , coordinate, train, and schedule daily assignments and projects conducted by the golf course staff. – Maintain certification in pesticide application by the appropriate regulatory agency. Apply fertilizer and chemicals to the golf course as conditions dictate i.e. fertilizers, applications, top dressing and aerification. – Monitor all financial responsibilities including but not limited to daily expenditures, inventory control, purchasing , monthly and quarterly budgeting, and the yearly budgeting process. – Oversee golf course equipment maintenance, inventory, and purchasing programs. – Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. – Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. – Must possess basic computational ability. – Knowledge of computer programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis. – Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service and taking disciplinary action when necessary. – Knowledge of Golf Operations – Must attend the Monthly Board Meeting Posses or have ability to obtain within 90 days – North Carolina restricted use pesticide commercial applicators license About Southern Wayne CC Southern Wayne CC 262 Country Club Rd Mt Olive NC 28365 919-658-4269 18 Hole semi private golf course Champion greens More Jobs from This Employer
