Responsibilities
Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to keep the course pristine
Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
Use hand tools for planting, aerating, fertilizing, and other groundskeeping tasks
Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify areas needing repair or attention
Support overall land maintenance efforts by cleaning up debris, repairing equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met
Experience
Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques is a plus
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in outdoor maintenance tasks
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep and safety standards
Basic understanding of horticulture principles related to turf management and plant care

Licenses and Special Requirements
Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots and hat.
Benefit Summary
WA Sick Leave: Yakima Country Club provides paid sick leave to all part-time Team Members, including temporary, interns, and seasonal workers. Sick leave will accrue at a rate of one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked (0.025 hours for every hour worked) and includes all hours actually worked.
Retirement: Simple Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Employees who have worked for Yakima Country Club for at least one year and have earned at least $5,000.00 during the previous year and expect to earn at least $5,000.00 during the current year are eligible. Employer matching contributions generally equal to the amount of each participant’s elected deferrals at a rate not to exceed three percent (3%) of annual gross salary or wages.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
