About the Role
An established golf organization in California is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Golf Coach / Instructor for a structured /Traineeship opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an international candidate with a background in golf, golf instruction, sports management, physical education, or a related field who wants to gain hands-on professional experience in the United States.
About the Training OpportunityThe participant will receive practical training in professional golf instruction and player development while working alongside experienced coaches and staff.
Training may include
Supporting golf instruction and practice sessionsLearning effective coaching and player-development techniquesAssisting with individual and group instructionDeveloping skills in evaluating player performance and identifying areas for improvementSupporting training programs for players at different skill levelsLearning how to structure effective practice sessionsAssisting with golf clinics, camps and special programsDeveloping professional communication skills with players, families and colleaguesLearning the operational and organizational aspects of a professional golf programProgressively taking on greater responsibility as knowledge and coaching skills developThe training is designed to provide progressive professional development, allowing the participant to move from observation and supervised instruction toward greater independence and responsibility.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
A degree or educational background in golf, sports, physical education, sports management, or a related fieldPrevious experience playing, coaching or working within the golf industryA strong knowledge of golf fundamentalsAn interest in developing a professional career in golf instruction or player developmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and a professional attitudeThe ability to work effectively with individuals and groupsGood English communication skillsPrevious experience with golf instruction, junior programs, golf camps, tournaments or competitive golf is a plus.
