The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a Golf Mechanic to join our team!
Entry level maintenance and repair work on golf course equipment; maintenance and repair of automotive, electrical, and mechanical equipment used in the operation of golf facilities; other golf course work as required.
Performs a variety of routine and repetitive motor equipment repair duties and course maintenance tasks. Functions are generally well defined and limited in scope but may involve a choice of two or more alternative approaches to well defined problems.
RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation or equivalent; Technical School diploma preferred.
One year experience in maintaining and repairing motor equipment preferred.
Massachusetts Class D Driver’s license required
2A/1C Hoisting Engineer’s License required
Phvsical Requirements:
Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions for long periods of time. Ability to drive turf equipment for long periods of time during all types of weather conditions. Incumbent is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move heavy objects. Must be able to conduct visual inspections while working in field.
