Golf Ops Mechanic
Employee will be involved in providing preventive maintenance for the 150+ carts and utility vehicles in the RCSCW golf course cart fleet. Essential Duties And Responsibilities (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job's overall responsibilities.)
Complete EZ-GO golf cart maintenance training. Update cart fleet inventory numbers such as serial numbers, cart location and cart condition. Inventory and repair/replace range equipment including ball picker, gang unit and ball washer. Order and inventory cart parts for current and future use. Troubleshoot and repair all air compressors located in all golf courses facilities. Repair Ball dispensing machines when directed by supervisor to do so. Troubleshoot and repair or replace all electrical components of golf carts and utility carts, which includes generator, starter generators brushes, starter solenoids, micro-switches, Voltage Regulators, Fuses, Back-up alarms, Oil Pressure sending units Ignition coils, wiring and lights, turn signals, fuel tank sending units on utility carts and batteries. Troubleshoot, repair, or replace Clutches, Belts, driven hubs, brakes shoes, leaf springs, front end alignments, carburetors, replace engines if beyond repair, transaxle shift problems, fuel leaks and all linkage and cable replacement or repair. Repair or replace windshields and supports. Repair and or replace defective tires, replace any missing items on carts, and all other repairs as needed. Maintain a yearly schedule, to order service kits to perform annual services on all carts including engine oil and oil filter replacement, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, greasing of all lube points, differential oil level and a complete inspection and repair of cart. Perform and document annual preventative maintenance for each vehicle. Ability to read and interpret documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and review and approve invoicing. Performs other duties as assigned Flexible work schedules to include an ability to work weekends and overtime on short notice is required. Maintains consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Attend and successfully pass authorized EZ-GO Cart Maintenance Training class or school. Ongoing re-certification may be required. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience Sufficient Training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Two years mechanical training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Two years hands on general maintenance and mechanical experience Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems in maintenance equipment. At least 2 years of experience in gasoline engine maintenance required. Experience with all makes of golf carts with an emphasis on EZ-GO gas carts preferred. Works independently in the absence of supervision. Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to communicate in Spanish highly desired. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization ensuring effective interactions. Perform basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and cleaning chemicals. Employees are provided training for handling and use as well as proper personal protective equipment supplied by the association. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical machinery and equipment; works in locations off the ground, and the employee is exposed to wet and humid conditions and will work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
