Position Summary
The Halfway House Attendant provides exceptional service to Bryn Mawr Country Club members and their guests while operating the Halfway House snack bar located on the golf course. This role ensures efficient and professional food and beverage service in a welcoming environment consistent with the club’s hospitality standards. The attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked facility while delivering prompt and courteous service throughout the golf day.
The Halfway House Attendant reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager and may also receive direction from the Golf Professional Staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare and serve food, snacks, alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages from the Halfway House facility.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and professional service to Bryn Mawr members and their guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Halfway House storage, preparation, and service areas in accordance with club standards.
• Set up, stock, and replenish food and beverage items at the beginning of each shift and throughout service.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate par levels for complimentary and retail food items, adjusting seasonally based on demand.
• Promote available food and beverage offerings and make recommendations to enhance the member experience.
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed, including proper food storage and temperature control.
• Rotate food and beverage inventory to maintain product freshness and minimize waste.
• Process member charges accurately through the point-of-sale (POS) system and complete daily closeout procedures.
• Prepare and assemble made-to-order food items efficiently for golfers during play.
• Independently prepare and serve menu items such as hot dogs, sandwiches, popcorn, and other snack bar offerings without direct kitchen support.
• Operate golf and beverage carts safely when necessary to support service on the course.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by management to support golf operations and food & beverage service.
