Status: Seasonal | Non-Exempt | Hourly $15.16 + Gratuities
Position Summary
The Halfway House Attendant provides friendly, efficient food and beverage service to members and guests at the turn. This role prepares beverages and light food items, processes orders accurately, and maintains a clean, organized service area while delivering a welcoming and professional experience consistent with the hospitality standards at Glenmoor Country Club.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
Greet members and guests warmly, using names whenever possible
Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service
Anticipate needs and respond quickly to requests or special accommodations
Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the Halfway House
Order Taking & Preparation
Take and process food and beverage orders accurately
Utilize Club Essential POS to enter all orders
Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
Perform basic food preparation and assemble simple menu items
Suggest and recommend food and drink options
Demonstrate knowledge of menus and daily features
Stocking & Maintenance
Stock and organize the Halfway House with food, beverages, and supplies
Prepare garnishes and service items
Maintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, and guest-facing areas
Monitor inventory and notify management of restocking needs
Complete opening, running, and closing side work
Teamwork & Service Standards
Communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams
Assist with special events or additional service needs as assigned
Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service policies
Attend pre-shift lineups when scheduled
Report issues or member concerns to management
Support overall team operations as needed
Glenmoor Country Club operates in a non-tipping environment. Team members are compensated through hourly wages or salaries rather than gratuities.
Requirements:
Friendly, outgoing, and service-oriented personality
Basic to moderate alcohol and beverage knowledge preferred
Comfortable working independently in a small service environment
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Reliable and punctual
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Physical & Work Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift and carry supplies up to 40–50 lbs occasionally
Frequent bending, reaching, and light food prep tasks
Work outdoors for extended periods in heat, sun, and changing weather
Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Work safely around hot equipment, wet surfaces, and kitchen tools
