## Manager, Process Engineering — Callaway Golf Ball Operations, Inc.
Callaway Golf Company designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance golf equipment and apparel across global brands. As Manager, Process Engineering you'll lead product and process development for new and modified golf balls and serve as the commercialization process owner as related to manufacturing. - Ops environment and acts as a liaison between Chicopee ball operations and Carlsbad R&D team.
You will generate capital project requests with cost analysis and justification, collaborate with the equipment engineering group on design and execution of capital projects, and support new product requirements. Establishing and maintaining product specifications, product material bills (except packaging), and manufacturing instructions are core responsibilities. You will also provide input to finance relating to product costs and work with outside suppliers for material development and qualification.
Practical day-to-day activities include conducting process capability studies, raw material vendor audits, developing new manufacturing processes, and supporting quality and defect-reduction initiatives using best practices and SPC methodology. Participation in CI/Lean initiatives is expected, including active involvement in staff green belt development and applied practices. The role provides technical support to subsidiary and 3rd party manufacturing sites and maintains documentation related to new product development, production pilots, and legal matters.
This position acts in a supervisory role overseeing Process Engineers and Engineering Technicians. Supervisory duties include coaching, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary action when required. You will work toward continuous improvements for process efficiencies and are expected to work in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processes.
Technical skills and tools mentioned in this role include proficiency in MS Office products, MS Project, and statistical analysis programs. Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies is a plus.
Education and experience expectations are explicit: Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Physical Sciences and Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience. Physical requirements are noted: the employee may be intermittently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. Office equipment such as printers, laptops, and tablets will be used, and the role is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation is indicated as: 113,200.00 - 141,400.00 - 169,600.00 USD Annual
