Senior Director of Golf Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Director of Golf Operations to lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of their premier golf facilities in Grand Rapids. This key leadership position within the Leisure & Sports sector is responsible for overseeing all aspects of golf operations, including course maintenance, retail, F&B, player services, and membership engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the golf industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue, enhance player satisfaction, and maintain the highest standards of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all facets of golf course operations, ensuring optimal playing conditions and exceptional guest experiences.Develop and implement strategic business plans to maximize revenue and profitability across all golf-related services.Manage budgets for golf operations, including course maintenance, pro shop, and food and beverage outlets.Lead, train, and motivate a team of golf professionals, including head professionals, superintendents, and support staff.Develop and execute marketing and membership initiatives to attract and retain golfers.Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental best practices.Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Golf Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.7+ years of progressive experience in golf operations management, with a strong track record of success.PGA Class A Professional certification or equivalent experience highly preferred.Proven experience in financial management, revenue generation, and P&L responsibility within the golf industry.Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Experience with golf course management software and POS systems.Benefits
