Customer Service Representative/Golf Shop

Colts Neck Golf Club is Monmouth County's premier semi-private golf club generating 35,000 rounds annually. Our well conditioned course offers a driving range and full member practice area with bunker and chipping green. Our impressive clubhouse is your home to relaxation, socialization and camaraderie among your fellow members. We are looking for friendly and energetic employees who love the game of golf. Work under Head Golf Professionals to check in golfers/assist in sales of shop apparel/ schedule Tee times.Outside Golf Staff will assure smooth transition for customers around the facility, promoting service and events to customers, efficiency of car loading, starting/directing, car cleanliness and staging, and cleanliness of overall facility. Essential Responsibilities Work availability March through October GENERAL DUTIES: • Meet and greet all customers in respectful manner by name while maintaining friendly atmosphere; handle all minor inquires and problems/complaints from customers. • Assure that guests have an enjoyable round of golf, that all groups do their best to keep pace with others, that all players observe good golf etiquette and obey the rules set forth for play. • Check in golfers and members for play • Assist in purchases of golf apparel, soft and hard goods • Refer escalated problems/complaints to Head Golf Professional. • Responsible for maintenance of order and continuity of player traffic. • Maintain, clean, organize and collect all range baskets • Keep all working areas attractive, neat and clean. STARTER DUTIES: • Coordinate with golf shop counter and Head Golf Professional to assure efficient transition for golfer to the course. • Review and assist guests in course and safety rules and regulations to prevent inconveniences to themselves other guests. • Arrange players in proper starting order, maintain order on the course, assure tee off time on the proper tee, coordinating with golf shop and ranger as to the status of the first tee. • Double-check, collect, organize and submit all records of play. • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on tee and starter/golf shop area; sweep, dust, clean and remove trash where needed. • Initiate play and record start times • Maintain frequent contact with golf shop and starter by radio or in person to discuss traffic flow, car scheduling and other factors affecting smooth daily operations. RANGER DUTIES: • Coordinate with golf shop counter and Head Golf Professional to assure efficient transition for golfer to the course. • Initiate play, record turn, start, and finish times, assuring golfers coming off #9 green make the turn in responsible fashion. • Keep course clean and call attention to golf shop of any maintenance issues needing addressing. • Monitor all play on the course via use of ranger car with special attention to the area of pace play and assist players where necessary • Maintain frequent contact with golf shop and starter by radio or in person to discuss traffic flow, car scheduling and other factors affecting smooth daily operations. • Report any practices that encourage slow play.
