Role Description:
The Finance Manager & Membership Director is a full-time, on-site role based at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, NC. This position oversees day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting to leadership. The role manages membership administration, including onboarding new members, maintaining accurate membership records, handling membership inquiries, and overseeing accounts receivable billing. The individual will prepare regular financial and membership reports and ensure compliance with club policies and relevant regulations. This role also collaborates with management on pricing, dues structures, and member retention initiatives, and works closely with front-office staff to deliver a positive, consistent experience for members.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to, Human Resources management, including recruitment, hiring, ADP Workforce Now payroll, proper remittance of payroll taxes, and completion of quarterly reports. The role also completes annual OSHA reports in compliance with workers' compensation regulations.
Qualifications:
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.Fully versed in Human Resource Management with an emphasis on ADP Workforce Now Payroll processes.Proficiency with accounting and membership management software, as well as solid skills in spreadsheets and word processing tools.Membership administration experience, including member onboarding, recordkeeping, billing coordination, and customer relationship management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with members, staff, and leadership, including the ability to explain financial information clearly.Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy club environment.Experience in hospitality, clubs, or service-oriented organizations is beneficial, as is familiarity with country club operations and member services - Clubessential software knowledge a plus.Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration required, along with the proper work experience to properly execute the tasks required.Supervisory skills a must as the role supervises two employees.
