Job Title: Management Support
Reports to: Program Manager and District Manager
Position Summary
The Medications Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in supporting residents and ensuring the smooth, safe operation of the facility. Under the direction of the Program Manager and District Manager, this position is responsible for implementing care programs, maintaining safety protocols, overseeing medication administration, and supervising staff.
This position serves as the acting manager in the absence of the Home Manager and ensures continuity of care and program integrity across all shifts.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram amp; Resident Support
Facilitate daily programming and ensure adherence to all safety procedures.
Support residents in developing and practicing social and life skills.
Oversee the implementation of individualized treatment plans (ITPs).
Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living and personal care, when needed.
Medication Coordination
Ensure the accurate administration and documentation of prescribed medications.
Monitor for medication changes and communicate updates promptly.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards in medication handling and storage.
Staff Supervision amp; Training
Supervise, support, and evaluate Direct Care Staff performance.
Train and mentor new staff members to ensure competency in all areas of care.
Provide both formal supervision and informal coaching as needed.
Foster a positive and professional work environment.
Facility Oversight
Ensure the safety and security of the residence during all assigned shifts.
Monitor and manage petty cash to meet household and resident needs.
Oversee vehicle usage, including basic maintenance, refueling, and scheduling.
Ensure residents are prepared for the next day’s appointments, work, or school.
Communicate effectively with midnight staff and Program Manager during shift transitions.
Resident Engagement amp; Wellbeing
Assist residents in building healthy routines and participating in community resources.
Support development of social skills and promote positive peer interactions.
Provide informal counseling and emotional support as needed.
Help residents acclimate to the program and follow house rules.
Administrative amp; Compliance Tasks
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of incidents, medications, and resident data.
Report behavioral, mental, or physical health changes to supervisors.
Follow all policies, procedures, and state regulations.
Support budget adherence and responsible spending.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED required).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions related to resident care.
Physically and emotionally capable of meeting the needs of residents, including lifting and mobility assistance.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Must be competent in the following areas prior to assuming duties:
First Aid and CPR
Personal care and supervision
Safety and fire prevention
Infection control and disease prevention
Resident rights and confidentiality
Incident reporting and documentation
Additional Requirements
Must maintain good physical and mental health to ensure quality care.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Must be able to be on-call.
Maintain professional relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and external partners.
