Job DescriptionThe Legends Country Club is seeking a full-time Assistant-in-Training (AIT) to join our Agronomy team in Eureka, MO. This is a hands-on, career-building opportunity for someone looking to grow in golf course maintenance, turf management, and agronomy operations.
As an Assistant-in-Training, you’ll be fully immersed in the day-to-day operations of maintaining a high-level private golf course. You’ll work directly with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, gaining real-world experience and leadership exposure while helping deliver exceptional course conditions for our members and guests.

What You’ll Do• Operate turf maintenance equipment (greens mowers, fairway mowers, tee mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, topdressers, etc.)
• Assist with hand watering and daily course conditioning tasks
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with safety and agronomic standards
• Support irrigation system audits, maintenance, and repairs
• Assist in managing small crews and daily task execution
• Maintain course presentation standards across all playing surfaces
• Work closely with leadership to learn systems, processes, and agronomy best practices
What We’re Looking For• Interest in golf course maintenance, turf management, or landscaping
• Golf course or landscaping experience preferred
• Leadership experience or interest in team development is a plus
• Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Detail-oriented with pride in producing high-quality results
• Dependable, coachable, and eager to learn
Compensation & Benefits• $17 – $20 per hour (based on experience)
