Position Concept: The Director of Instruction at Sylvania Country Club is responsible for designing, managing, promoting, budgeting, scheduling, and conducting comprehensive golf instruction programs tailored to the evolving needs of our diverse and dynamic membership. Facility Information: Sylvania Country Club is a premier, private golf facility offering an 18-hole championship golf course located in Sylvania, Ohio. Established with a rich tradition and commitment to excellence, Sylvania Country Club is dedicated to providing exceptional golf and social experiences to our esteemed membership.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Head Golf Professional.

Specific Responsibilities: Golf Instruction

Develop, manage, and oversee comprehensive golf instruction and player development programs.

Coordinate and maintain instructional schedules, ensuring optimal availability and member satisfaction.

Maintain teaching equipment and aids in exceptional condition.

Participate actively in meetings scheduled by the management team, including sessions with the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Golf Course Superintendent.

Actively engage with the local community, representing Sylvania Country Club positively through targeted promotional activities and programs.
</li>

Continuously enhance professional expertise through relevant educational courses, certifications, and training programs related to golf instruction, player development, management, and operations.

Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing and support apprentices in their journey through the teaching component of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program.

Comprehensive knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, instructional methodologies, and teaching innovations.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, serving as an exemplary role model in professional conduct, work ethic, and enthusiasm.

Skilled in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet, social media, and specialized golf software (tournament management, customer relations, and database management).

Compensation:
<ul>
<li>
Independent Contractor status
</li>
<li>
Director of Instruction retains 80% of lesson revenue; Sylvania Country Club retains 20%.
