Overview
Crow Valley Golf Club, a premier family-focused private facility in the Quad Cities, is seeking an energetic, organized, and passionate golf professional to serve as our Director of Junior Golf Development.
This role is designed for a professional who specializes in youth development and thrives on creating a fun, engaging, and competitive environment for golfers of all skill levels. While the core focus will be leading all junior programming—including our PGA Jr. League teams, summer camps, and weekly clinics—the ideal candidate will also have ample opportunity to provide private instruction to the broader membership.
Experience Required
PGA/LPGA Status: Class A PGA/LPGA Member or a motivated PGA Associate making steady progress in the Associate Program.Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience focusing heavily on youth sports coaching, junior golf instruction, or camp operations.Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be highly relatable to kids and professional when communicating with parents.Certifications: U.S. Kids Certified Coach, TPI Certified (Junior), or Operation 36 experience is highly desirable but not required.Background Check: Must pass all standard PGA and club youth-coaching background checks and safety screenings.
Essential Responsibilities
Junior Golf Leadership & Programming (Primary Focus)
PGA Jr. League: Serve as the Head Coach for Crow Valley’s PGA Jr. League teams. Oversee registration, schedule and run practices, manage match days, and foster a team-first environment.Summer Camps & Clinics: Design, market, and execute comprehensive summer golf camps and weekly junior clinics tailored to different age groups and skill levels (e.g., SNAG golf for toddlers to advanced competitive prep for teens).Curriculum Development: Implement a structured player development pathway (such as Operation 36 or otherJunior Player Development models) to track and celebrate junior progress.Family Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for parents, providing regular communication regarding schedules, progress, and upcoming events.
Instruction & Player Development
Private & Group Lessons: Deliver high-quality individual and group instruction to juniors and adults utilizing modern teaching technology where applicable.Lesson Management: Manage personal lesson tracking, scheduling, and billing via the club's preferred software system.Member Relations: Maintain a visible and welcoming presence on the lesson tee and around the practice facilities to promote player development programs.
Operational Support
Collaborate closely with the Head Golf Professional and the professional staff to assist with general golf operations when necessary.Ensure all junior practice areas are set up safely, organized, and adequately stocked with training aids.
Benefits
Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).Playing & Practice Privileges: Access to Crow Valley’s championship 18-hole facility and practice areas.PGA Dues: Allowance or assistance for PGA national and section dues may be negotiated.Staff Uniforms: Provided clothing allowance/staff uniform package.
