Summary:
The talented individual who will fill this role will be someone who is dedicated and engaging. This position isresponsible for all operations within the Food and Beverage Department. The Food and Beverage Manager will need tohave a servant’s heart and a passion to lead a team. We are looking for a leader. Someone who will teach, guide and train our Service team to the standard of excellence our membership deserves.Our goal is to exceed our member’s expectations. Positivity is a key component to joining our team. This individual will always act with compassion and integrity. Duties will include, but are not limited to the management of all bar and service staff, as well as management of inventory and supplies.
Job Duties:
Supervises and leads the Service Team to exceed the member’s service expectations.
Works in conjunction with the Culinary Team to make sure quality standards are being met.
Maintains dining room availability and awareness by greeting and seating all members/guests.
Confirms all team members are in clean, wrinkle-free, proper uniforms.
Coordinates and verifies all sidework duties, cleaning and re-stocking is completed.
Responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of all dining rooms, dining porches, and service storage areas.
Maintains par levels for all Service Team items including, silverware, glassware, water pitchers, etc…
Works in conjunction with the Director of Specials Events and Catering to maintain par levels of linen – orders linen as needed.
Routine checks on all Service equipment.
Leads pre-shift and post-shift meetings to properly administer current news, policies, or changes.
Speaks to and handles all Service complaints, issues or comments in a professional and helpful way.
As a Food and Beverage Management Team, responsible for all hiring and terminations, performance evaluations, and overall management of all Service Team members.
Responsible for creating new and strengthening existing Club events to maintain an active, energetic, and engaging schedule of events.
Expected to have a well-detailed onboarding Training Program and to maintain a consistent continuous training program to ensure our team is fully prepared.
Coordinates all Service Team schedules and ensures proper staffing levels in all areas.
Approves payroll weekly.
Recommends capital equipment upgrades and supplies that would enhance the Ala Carte experience – develops a purchasing plan after researching all options, may assist with the purchase of the equipment – approval by the General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
Oversees the compliance of all Club rules and policies.
Responsible for understanding the Club’s website, development of event fliers, Club App, and point of sales system.
Responsible for an accurate monthly beverage inventory.
Works as a management team to exceed monthly and yearly Food and Beverage budget goals.
Always looks for ways to enhance the membership experience and service.
Suggests new creative Club Events and actively promotes Club Events in the dining rooms.
Set clear expectations for the Service Team and encourage them to exceed those expectations.
Responsible for setting all banquet dining rooms according to the Banquet Event Order.
Expected to attend weekly Food and Beverage Meetings.
Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage/Assistant General Manager
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
A four-year college degree in Hospitality/Event Planning is not required, but preferred.
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred, private country club experience is a bonus.
Experience with Jonas Operating System is not required, but preferred.
Self-discipline, creative, and self-motivated.
Professional appearance at all times that is appropriate for a traditional private country club.
