Stevens Point Country Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equipment Manager/Mechanic to oversee the maintenance, repair, and performance of our golf course equipment fleet. Stevens Point Country Club is an 18-hole private golf and country club featuring a predominantly new John Deere equipment fleet, providing an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work with modern equipment in a high-quality golf course environment. The Equipment Manager/Mechanic will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of all golf course maintenance equipment, including gasoline, diesel, electric, and hydraulic systems. This individual will also play a key role in training staff on proper equipment operation and care, ensuring efficiency and longevity of the equipment fleet.
2+ years experience as a golf course equipment mechanic or related field
Strong knowledge of John Deere and Bernhard equipment preferred
Experience with reel grinding, mower setup, and cutting unit adjustments
Ability to troubleshoot diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
The position will require working one weekend per month
