Superintendent for golf course

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Superintendent for our prestigious golf course, where you will lead the maintenance and enhancement of the grounds to ensure an exceptional playing experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of turf management, landscape maintenance, and hardscape projects, fostering a beautiful and sustainable environment for members and guests alike. As a key leader, you will manage a skilled crew, coordinate landscaping initiatives, and implement innovative groundskeeping practices that elevate the course’s aesthetic and playability. Duties Supervise daily grounds maintenance activities, including turf care, landscaping, tree care, and hardscaping construction projects Oversee irrigation system management to ensure optimal watering schedules and system performance Lead and manage a team of groundskeepers, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently Coordinate with contractors on hardscape installations, renovations, and outdoor construction projects Conduct plant identification to maintain healthy landscapes and implement horticultural best practices Operate grounds maintenance equipment and company vehicles safely and effectively during outdoor work activities Develop maintenance schedules and quality standards to uphold the course’s pristine condition Requirements Proven supervising experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf management roles Extensive outdoor work experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, tree care, and groundskeeping practices Experience managing irrigation systems and hardscape construction projects Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation tools, and other landscaping machinery Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment Construction experience or familiarity with outdoor hardscape elements such as pathways or retaining walls is preferred Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining high standards of grounds quality Join us in creating an outstanding golf environment where passion for outdoor work meets expert landscape management.
