Director of Golf
Position Summary The Director of Golf is responsible for delivering an exceptional golf experience through world-class instruction, engaging programming, and meaningful member relationships. As the face of West End Golf Club, this individual will create a welcoming, social, and performance-focused environment that inspires members to improve their game, connect with others, and make the club part of their everyday routine.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished instructor with a passion for teaching, a natural ability to build relationships, and the leadership skills to help establish West End Golf Club as the premier indoor golf destination in the region.
Essential ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Player Development
Provide high-quality private and group instruction for golfers of all skill levels.
Develop personalized improvement plans utilizing launch monitor technology and video analysis.
Lead clinics, player development programs, and golf schools.
Help members establish measurable goals and celebrate their progress.
Member Experience
Serve as the primary ambassador for the golf experience.
Build lasting relationships with members and guests.
Welcome and onboard new members, ensuring they understand the club's offerings and technology.
Foster an inclusive, energetic, and community-driven atmosphere.
Programming & Events
Organize and oversee leagues, tournaments, competitions, and club events.
Develop programming that encourages participation and member engagement.
Collaborate with club leadership to create unique golf experiences throughout the year.
Golf Operations
Ensure simulator bays, practice areas, and golf equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
Assist members with simulator technology and club usage.
Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming golf environment.
Provide feedback to leadership on programming, equipment, and member experience opportunities.
Qualifications
PGA Professional preferred but not required.
Minimum of three years of experience in golf instruction, coaching, or golf operations.
Strong understanding of golf swing fundamentals, launch monitor technology, and player development.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Open availability to support club operations, member programming, and special events as business needs require.

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus commission on instructional services, offering strong earning potential based on performance and member engagement.

Pay: $71,948.46 - $91,723.11 per year
