About the Role
Duties Overseeing the daily mowing, fertilization, aeration, and pest control of greens, fairways, tees, and roughs. Soil health, turf disease prevention, and tournament-ready playability.
Managing the upkeep, repair, and servicing of specialized turf machinery, irrigation systems, and utility vehicles. Maximizing equipment longevity, operator safety, and minimizing operational downtime.
Developing and managing the annual operational and capital budgets, including purchasing supplies and payroll. Cost-effective resource allocation, vendor negotiations, and tracking expenditures.
Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising the maintenance crew while ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations. Productivity, crew morale, safe chemical handling, and OSHA compliance.
Ensuring all chemical/pesticide applications, water usage, and waste disposal adhere to local, state, and federal laws. Water conservation, wildlife habitat protection, and maintaining accurate application logs.

Ability to obtain the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and maintain status upon employment.
Ability to obtain membership DOD Pest Management Certificate.
Must be able and willing to work a schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following Experience: At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in golf course maintenance or a related field, including one (1) year in a supervisory or lead position.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that includes at least one year of experience performing duties described above, to include lead or supervisory responsibility. Relevant education may include coursework in agronomy, turf management, horticulture, or a related field.
Additional Requirements: Candidates must have a working knowledge of pesticide application, brush control, and safety requirements.
