Company Description Cedar Creek Club racquet club with a variety of amenities for serving it's membership during the months of May to October. This special historic residential feellng club was built in 1930 as a estate home and for the past 45 years serves its 275 members five star level service, product and facillities. Role Description The Facilities and Grounds Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cashiers, NC, responsible for overseeing the care, maintenance, and appearance of club grounds and related facilities. This role manages daily grounds operations, including turf care, irrigation systems, landscaping projects, and seasonal maintenance activities. The Facilities and Grounds Manager supervises grounds staff, coordinates work schedules, and ensures that safety and quality standards are consistently met. The role includes monitoring equipment and supplies, working with vendors and contractors, responding to maintenance requests, and proactively identifying improvements to enhance the member and guest experience. The manager collaborates with club leadership to plan budgets, support special events, and align grounds maintenance with overall club objectives. Qualifications Grounds Management skills, with experience overseeing the maintenance and presentation of large outdoor spaces.Supervisory Skills to lead, train, and support grounds and facilities staff effectively.Irrigation and Turf management skills, including system operation, troubleshooting, and turf health practices.Landscaping expertise in plant selection, design, installation, and ongoing landscape care.Knowledge of safety protocols, equipment operation, and basic facility maintenance best practices.Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to prioritize multiple projects.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with club leadership, vendors, and team members.Previous experience in club, resort, golf, or similar hospitality environments is preferred.Ability to perform physical tasks associated with outdoor grounds work and to work in varying weather conditions.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in grounds or facilities management are beneficial.
