Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for the daily check-in and billing of golfers at the The Plantation Golf Shop.Supervises Cart Staff and Starter / Ranger programs. Assistant Professional is assigned specific areas of supervision regarding the cart staff and starter/ranger programs.

Other responsibilities include making tee time reservationsAssisting in the merchandising operation of the Golf ShopTournament managementProviding individual golf lessons and conducting and/or assisting in group clinicsRecording of daily salesKeeping the Golf Shop neat and cleanProviding outstanding customer service to all guests, members, and other visitorsAbility to organize, delegate responsibility, and follow up on resultsBe able to conduct interviews for staff for specific areas of responsibilityMust maintain a well-groomed appearance, conform to uniform requirements, and be generally professional in personal presentationMust have basic computer and accounting skills and be comfortable interacting with multiple departments within the organization1-2 years related experience in a similar private club is a bonus and highly desired

In addition to the advertised hourly rate of pay, this position is eligible to receive paid PGA Dues, Clothing Allowance, and a percentage of Lesson Income and Club Repair Income.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to seventy (70) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
