POSITION SUMMARYThe Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a Golf Starter/Ranger to provide Members and Guests with friendly, prompt and courteous service as they get started both on the range, begin play on time and throughout the day on the golf course.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Record each group and individual that heads out on the golf courseWelcome each golfer to the tee/golf courseRide the golf course regularly to monitor playBe able to keep track of start, turn, and stop times of each group on the golf courseSet up starter/ranger cart for dayKeep cart fresh with supplies (tees, scorecards, pencils, yardage books)Keep up with daily golf events and playdaysKeep current and updated copy of tee sheetMaintain starters record on the first teeAsses each groups needs on the first teeGo through course introduction with each group as neededKeep cart barn aware of driving range condition and needsPair up singles and twosomes when possibleMAINTAIN PACE OF PLAY ON GOLF COURSEKeep accurate records of turn and finish times with each groupKeep golf staff inform of any potential problems on golf courseCommunicate with each group of golfers on a regular basisPerform other duties as requiredREQUIREMENTS:Flexible availability including days, weekends and holidaysMust be able to clearly communicate Member needs to other Team MembersMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbsAbility to safely operate a golf cart and have a Driver’s License and acceptable driving recordMust be a team player with a positive attitudeTo successfully fulfill the duties and responsibilities of this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
