Hands-On Facilities Manager – Golf Clubs of Dove Mountain

The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced, practical and highly motivated Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and presentation of our golf and sports club facilities. This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who enjoys being out on the property all day, leading by example, solving problems and making sure everything works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will pro-actively oversee the club's buildings, grounds, plant, equipment, utilities, maintenance programs and external contractors, while working closely with management and club teams to deliver an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the day-to-day facilities and maintenance operation across the club.

Carry out and coordinate hands-on maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance.

Maintain club buildings, locker rooms, changing facilities, restrooms, offices, recreational areas and other facilities.

Oversee maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and all other building systems.

Manage facilities, tools, plant, vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and safely operated.

Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and asset records.

Coordinate contractors and specialist service providers, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to specification.

Monitor utilities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Maintain a safe, clean and attractive environment for members, guests and employees.

Support event preparation and ensure facilities are ready for tournaments, competitions, functions and busy club periods.

Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance issues and emergencies.

Maintain compliance with relevant health, safety, building and environmental requirements.

Manage maintenance budgets, purchasing and inventory.

Lead, schedule and motivate maintenance and facilities staff where applicable.

Work closely with the Golf Course, Sports, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Club Management teams.

About You: We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable and solutions-focused.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in facilities, property, building maintenance, hospitality, golf clubs, sports clubs, resorts or a similar environment.

Strong practical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Experience managing contractors and external service providers.

Good knowledge of building systems, plant and equipment.

The ability to prioritize multiple maintenance issues and work effectively under pressure.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

A proactive approach — you see problems before they become bigger problems.

High standards of cleanliness, safety, presentation and workmanship.

The ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a team.

A willingness to get your hands dirty and do the work, rather than simply managing from an office.
