REPORTS TO: Dining Room Manager

DEPARTMENT: MacAlester's

LOCATION: Union League Golf Club at Torresdale (3801 Grant Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114)

Job description: We are looking for a Host to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests. Host responsibilities include greeting guests, member recognition, and escorting customers to the dining table and bar area. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to ensure our members have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive through to their departure.

Responsibilities:

Warmly welcome and seat guests to the dining room with a smileProvide accurate wait times and monitor waiting listsManage reservations and Union League website and reservation systemProvide menus and encourage a wonderful mealCoordinate with management about flow and seatingMaintain a clean reception areaCater to guests who require special/extra attentionAnswer incoming calls and field dining inquiriesMaintain member profiles with pertinent informationStay up to date regarding the Union League properties and hours of operation, events, etc.Other duties to be determined.Stocking of pantries with dry or wet supplies as required by the par list.Performs all other functions as required by management.Requirements:

High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plusProven dining restaurant experienceAttention to cleanliness and service detailsPatient and guest-oriented approachExcellent communication skills with a friendly attitudeResponsible and trustworthyFlexible schedule, nights and weekends, mandatory holidays which include Memorial Day Weekend and Fourth of July WeekendSkills and Requirements:
