Our client, a prestigious golf club located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin , is seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Head Golf Professional to lead their golf operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the golf course, including instruction, club fitting, tournament management, and member services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the game of golf, exceptional teaching abilities, and a proven track record in managing golf operations in a high-end facility. You will be the face of our golf experience, ensuring a superior environment for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities Manage and direct all golf-related activities, including daily play, golf instruction, and club fitting services. Develop and implement a comprehensive golf instruction program for players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Organize and execute club-sponsored tournaments, leagues, and special events. Oversee the management of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and staff supervision. Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a positive and memorable golf experience. Maintain professional relationships with club members, staff, and outside vendors. Assist in the development and management of the golf operations budget. Ensure the highest standards of etiquette and pace of play are maintained on the course. Collaborate with course maintenance staff to ensure optimal playing conditions. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in golf instruction and equipment. Requirements PGA or LPGA Professional certification is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant or Head Golf Professional in a reputable club or resort setting. Proven expertise in golf instruction, club fitting, and player development. Demonstrated success in organizing and managing golf tournaments and events. Strong knowledge of golf shop operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to build rapport with members and provide outstanding customer service. Proficiency with golf management software and POS systems. A passion for the game of golf and a commitment to promoting its enjoyment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Golf Management, or a related field is preferred.
