Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Lead Server/Trainer to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties
Lead and motivate a team of servers, ensuring high standards of service and guest engagement at all times
Conduct comprehensive training sessions on POS
Oversee service procedures to maintain quality and safety standards in accordance with food industry regulations
Manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and optimize table turnover for maximum efficiency
Implement upselling strategies to increase sales while providing personalized recommendations to guests
Ensure all team members adhere to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
Assist with cash handling, cashiering duties, and nightly closing procedures with accuracy and integrity
Experience
Proven experience in food service or restaurant operations, preferably in fine dining or upscale establishments
Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience training or supervising staff as a lead server or trainer
Extensive knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
Strong background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is highly desirable
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy service hours
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
Knowledge of food industry standards related to sanitation, food safety, serving protocols, and alcohol regulations
Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
