Spray Tech Manager

Spray, application, technician Glastonbury Hills Country Club is looking for hard working, self-motivated individuals who are looking to join our team maintaining our 18-holes. A dependable person with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors would thrive in this environment. The right candidate will be trained in most areas of golf course maintenance including, but not limited to, pesticide/fertilizer applications, and watering, The applicant would assist the Superintendent in all plant and ornamental protectant applications. This is a full time year-round or full time seasonal position pending experience. Educational Requirements A degree or certificate in turf management or related field is preferred, however applicants with appropriate golf course experience, or any type of spraying or fertilizer application will be considered. Special Requirements Applicant must be able to obtain a Connecticut Pesticide Applicators license. Supervisory license is a plus and will be paid additional compensation. Applicant must have a valid drivers license. Apply Fertilizers and Pesticides via both spray and granular application equipment. Management responsibility of employees. Calibrate, clean, and maintain sprayers and granular spreaders. keeping track of product inventories. Mix and load spray recipes with precision as directed. Assist with daily golf course set up on non-application days by performing tasks including but not limited to: Course Set-Up, and Watering when needed.
