Golf Course Cup Cutter – Part-Time Maintenance Hillandale Golf Course | Durham, NC Hillandale Golf Course is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our golf course maintenance team as a Cup Cutter. This is a specialized position with one primary responsibility: cutting and maintaining pins/cups on the course each scheduled morning. This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent, early-morning part-time work with a four-day-per-week schedule and relatively short shifts. Position Details Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday & SaturdayStart Time: Early morningHours: Typically 2 hours per shift, with a maximum of 4 hours per shiftDays Per Week: 4Position Type: Part-timeLocation: Hillandale Golf Course – Durham, NCPrimary Responsibilities Cut and set golf course cups according to Hillandale Golf Course standards.Follow a strict, regimented cup-cutting schedule.Ensure cups are placed at the correct depth, position and orientation.Maintain consistent hole presentation across all 18 holes.Inspect each cup and surrounding area for imperfections or issues.Communicate any turf, green or cup-related issues to the golf course maintenance team.Operate and properly maintain cup-cutting equipment.Complete all assigned work independently and efficiently.Maintain an exceptionally high standard of attention to detail.What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Has immaculate attention to detail.Is extremely reliable and punctual.Enjoys working independently.Can follow a consistent, regimented routine without needing constant supervision.Takes pride in presenting a golf course at a high standard.Is comfortable working outdoors in the early morning.Can perform repetitive physical tasks safely and consistently.Understands that small details matter in golf course presentation.Previous golf course or golf industry experience is preferred, but not required. Full on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate. Why This Position? This is a great opportunity for someone who wants consistent part-time work without committing to a traditional full-time schedule. Most shifts will be approximately 2 hours, and the position is limited to four mornings per week.
