About the Role
Mechanical Assembly Technician The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and repair of pneumatic low and high-pressure packing pumps in the production line with minimum supervision. Job responsibilities include reading, understanding, and following assembly prints, experience with electro/mechanical components, and the use of assembly hand tools such as crimp tools, drills, torque wrenches, rivet and insertion tools, etc. as required. The technician builds finished assemblies within defined time standards and with a high level of quality, troubleshoots assemblies, and makes appropriate adjustments/corrections to hardware.
They use a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments such as scales, calipers, and micrometers, etc. The technician maintains a record of the assembly process, progress, and problems, wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines, and performs other jobs as needed for production and as assigned by the team lead. Good communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse staff are essential.
The technician assists other technicians for PM and projects and is knowledgeable of integration processes, concepts, alternatives, and best practices. They must be able to read engineering schematics and drawings, be a quick learner with the ability to follow direction, problem solve, multitask, and adapt to changes to promote efficiency and productivity, and be flexible and available to work overtime as required by EF needs. The technician must be able to stand, bend, reach, and handle bulky parts with the ability to frequently lift to 35 pounds.
