Company Description The Hasentree Club is a premier private club known for its Tom Fazio–designed 7,074-yard, par-71 golf course that offers both fun and challenge for players of all levels. The 16,500 square foot Clubhouse serves as a vibrant social hub with an expansive bar and grille room, private dining, and a covered outdoor dining area. Guests and members enjoy stunning views of a unique three-hole stretch of the course while dining or relaxing by the fire pit. The Clubhouse is designed for comfort and community, including well-appointed locker rooms with flat-screen TVs and private shower suites. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Racquet Sports Professional role based at The Hasentree Club in Wake Forest, NC. The Racquet Sports Professional will lead and support tennis, pickleball, and other racquet sport programs, including organizing clinics, private lessons, group instruction, and social events for players of all ages and skill levels. Daily responsibilities include creating and delivering engaging instructional sessions, assisting with league and tournament coordination, and ensuring the racquet facilities, courts, and equipment are well maintained and safe. The role collaborates closely with club leadership and other staff to promote racquet sports participation, provide outstanding member and guest service, and support overall club programming. The Racquet Sports Professional will also assist with scheduling, communication, and basic administrative tasks related to racquet operations.
Qualifications
Racquet sports expertise, including strong playing and teaching ability in tennis and/or pickleball, with experience coaching a range of ages and skill levels.Program development skills, including planning clinics, leagues, junior programs, and social events that encourage participation and member engagement.Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally, inclusively, and respectfully with members, guests, and colleagues.Organizational and time-management skills to handle scheduling, lesson coordination, basic administration, and accurate record-keeping.Ability to work on-site in Wake Forest, NC, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support club programming.Experience in a private club, resort, or similar hospitality or athletics environment is preferred.Relevant coaching or teaching certifications (e.g., USPTA, PTR, or comparable racquet sport certifications) are highly beneficial.CPR/AED and basic first aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
