Assistant Golf Course Manager

Assists with the administration, daily operations, golf play, and special events at the Blacklick Woods Golf Course.   Example of Duties   <strong>Customer Relations &amp; Communication</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Delivers exceptional customer service by providing detailed information regarding Blacklick Woods Golf Course and the District.</li> <li>Establishes and maintains positive public relations with golfers and the general public; professionally resolves inquiries and complaints while promoting Metro Parks.</li> <li>Facilitates regular communication with all staff members to foster a positive, collaborative environment for both employees and guests.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Golf Operations &amp; Programming</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Manages and facilitates weekly leagues, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure smooth operations.</li> <li>Consults with players, tournament organizers, and external parties, utilizing deep golf industry knowledge to provide expert guidance.</li> <li>Oversees the booking, administration, and execution of daily play, tournaments, group outings, and special events.</li> <li>Maintains the handicap system and oversees internet tee-time scheduling.</li> <li>Conducts Metro Parks’ instructional lessons, classes, and clinics.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Facility &amp; Retail Management</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Operates Point-of-Sale (POS) and computer systems to manage merchandise sales, golf services, and reservations.</li> <li>Directs inventory control and merchandise displays; prepares and maintains accurate records for the Pro Shop and rental facilities.</li> <li>Inspects the golf course and facilities daily to ensure optimal playing conditions; reports any maintenance or safety concerns to the Golf Course Manager.</li> <li>Collaborates on the creation of promotional and marketing materials to increase course visibility.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Staffing &amp; Administration</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Supervises daily staff functions and assists with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.</li> <li>Prepares performance evaluations for part-time and seasonal staff under the direction of the Golf Course Manager.</li> <li>Supports the budgeting process and performs special projects or other related duties as assigned.</li> <li>Ensures Compliance: Enforces all rules and regulations, follows safety protocols, maintains required certifications, and attends professional development seminars.</li> </ul>
