This is an opportunity to shape student-athletes at a rigorous research university where athletic ambition and scholarly achievement are held in equal regard.Position Number: S99380This position is a Grade: 8 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $47,570 - $57,090 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.As Head Coach, you will hold full accountability for the Men's Golf program within the Patriot League and NCAA Division I framework. Your core responsibilities will include:Teach, instruct, and develop student-athletes in the technical, tactical, mental, and physical aspects of competitive golfCreate and implement comprehensive practice plans, individualized training regimens, and tailored course-management strategiesEstablish the program's coaching philosophy, determine tournament lineups, and prepare the team for conference, regional, and national competitionDesign and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy to identify and secure prospective student-athletes who meet rigorous academic and athletic standardsCoordinate all aspects of the prospect pipeline, including data-driven talent scouting, official and unofficial campus visits, and scholarship recommendationsMonitor student-athlete academic progress in partnership with support staff while fostering an environment centered on integrity, accountability, and graduationProvide overall operational leadership for the Men's Golf program, including tournament scheduling, practice facility coordination, and equipment procurementResponsibly prepare, manage, and track the program's annual operating budget, including comprehensive team travel logisticsHire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff to ensure a unified instructional approachMaintain strict compliance with all NCAA, Patriot League, and university rules, regulations, and mandatory reporting guidelinesCultivate positive, lasting relationships with alumni, parents, and donors to actively support departmental fundraising and program advancementPartner with Athletics Communications and Marketing to boost program visibility through media engagement, public speaking, and community outreachWhat You BringBachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferredFive to eight years of related work experienceExperience as a student-athleteNCAA Certification requiredCPR/First Aid requiredA track record of supporting student-athlete academic success and personal developmentAbility to engage authentically with Lehigh's alumni network and institutional fundraising effortsWhy LehighLehigh University combines the intellectual rigor of a top-tier research institution with a genuine commitment to the full student-athlete experience.
