This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: North Shore Preserve, set on the island of Kauai, in Princeville, Hawaii. North Shore Preserve is seeking seasonal Greenskeepers to join the Golf Course Maintenance Department. Seasonal employment dates are March 15, 2026 – December 15, 2026. In-Country Extension H-2B visa sponsorship is available. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Job Description: Operates mowers and string trimmers in trimming greens, aprons, and tees around trees, fence lines, banks, and hillsides; also edges cart paths, and rakes, and maintains sand bunkers. prune or trim shrubs and edges using shears or pruners. Sets tee markers and cups on greens daily, maintains ball washers, replaces tee towels and flags when needed, removes debris, sands and seeds tee and drop area divots, and clean flower beds. Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment such as golf carts and buggies daily, reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately such as golf course mowers, golf course utility vehicles, rakes etc. Returns all golfing equipment such as golf clubs, golf balls, and golf bags, to the designated location and cleans the maintenance areas. Under the direction of the superintendent or assistant superintendent, the groundskeeper-labor-rough crew marks the course for cart control weekly, moves cart control barriers and replaces worn or lost ropes and signs, and may mark hazard and drop areas. Waters and fertilize tees, greens, and fairways, and under direct supervision of the director of agronomy or assistant superintendent, sprays chemicals on landscaped areas. Helps in project work, and assists in the construction of new greens, tees, and fairways. Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod, and seeds tees, greens and fairways. Installs forms and lays walks and paths using gravel and asphalt mixes, excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools, repairs and replaces pipe on irrigation systems. May be asked to operate mowers, small utility vehicles for golf course use, such as the John Deere TX gator weighing approximately 600 lbs., or other light equipment. Experience/Special Skill Requirements: At least 3 months’ experience on a golf course maintenance or golf course construction crew. Possession of a valid driver’s license or international equivalent required. Must be able to operate trucks, golf carts, and lightly motorized equipment. Must have knowledge of operating hand and power tools, and golf course maintenance equipment. Must work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length. Must read, write, speak and understand English. Must meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer. Benefits The pay rate is $22.00 to $26.00 per hour. Returning workers and workers with more experience may be paid in higher wage rates.
