<p><strong>Organization: </strong>The Tennessee Section PGA was founded in 1968 for the purpose of promoting enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf and to contribute to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry within the Section boundaries. The Tennessee Section is one of 41 Sections that make up the PGA of America. Our membership, of over 525 men and women professionals, serves golfers in our five PGA Chapters at over 170 golf courses, clubs, practice facilities and other golf related entities throughout Tennessee. </p>
<p><strong>Position: Tournament Coordinator</strong></p>
<p><strong>Timeframe: </strong>Full time</p>
<p><strong>Reports to: </strong>Tournament Director</p>
<p><strong>Summary of the Position:</strong> The individual in this position will assist the TNPGA Tournament Department with the administration of Section tournaments, Tour qualifiers, Playing Ability Tests, and Travel Pro-Ams. In addition, this individual will work with other departments at the Section and at Golf House TN to assist with events, meetings, and player development programming.</p>

<p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in management of all Sanctioned Events and PAT Tournaments</li>
<li>Assist with Core events and Tour Qualifiers</li>
<li>Computer set-up and management of each tournament through BlueGolf</li>
<li>Website updates and communication including pairings, results, and detailed tournament information.</li>
<li>Travel to respective events and perform on-site management duties including marking of the golf course, set-up of tents and other tournament equipment, </li>
<li>Staff and Volunteer Coordinator at events</li>
<li>Create and maintain an annual player of the year points list.</li>
<li>Communicate and develop relationships with PGA members, sponsors, and other supporters of the Tennessee PGA</li>
<li>Assist with Business Development planning and implementation.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director</li>

<p>QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. </li>
<li>Experience in golf administration is preferred.</li>
<li>PGA member or associate preferred</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills both written and verbal</li>
<li>Knowledge of BlueGolf tournament software.</li>
<li>Detail oriented and the ability to work on multiple projects</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the geographic boundaries of the Tennessee PGA</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills including Google Suite of products, desktop and web page publishing</li>
<li>Experience in golf tournament administration and operations, including golf course set-up, marking, and officiating. </li>
<li>Knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf and its decisions</li>
<li>Work schedule includes frequent weekends and some holidays</li>
<li>Team player motivated by the success of the organization over any personal gain</li>

<p>POSITION/PHYSICAL CONDITIONS</p>

<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. </li>
<li>This position must be able to travel for extended periods of time. </li>
<li>The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li>
<li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. </li>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. </li>
<li>The employee must be able to drive the company vehicle and/or drive to and from various locations throughout the Section. </li>
