BlueStar Resort & Golf has been engaged to manage the community amenities, starting with The Exchange, providing an elevated hospitality experience to residents and guests alike. The position available is a full-time Barista role within the Food and Beverage department at The Canyons. This role is essential in curating an inviting and high-quality beverage experience for guests, focusing on the preparation and sale of coffee drinks including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty beverages. The Barista will be responsible for greeting and serving guests in a friendly and energetic manner, taking orders accurately, preparing beverages consistently following standard recipes, and ensuring all drinks are presented attractively. This role involves handling cash and card transactions with attention to detail and accuracy. Keeping the coffee bar stocked and maintaining clean, safe, and operational equipment is a crucial part of the job. The Barista is also expected to contribute creatively to the Food & Beverage team, assist in training new team members, and foster a supportive team environment. Additionally, an understanding of the resort facilities is encouraged to help promote other services within the community to guests. This position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work well under pressure, multitask effectively, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must possess a current Food Handler’s card and meet state and federal requirements for serving alcohol if applicable. The role demands physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally lift items up to 20 pounds, and work in both indoor and outdoor café settings with variable weather and noise levels. A flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends is necessary for this role.
