Greenskeeper
1757 Golf Club – Dulles, Virginia
Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour
Position Summary
1757 Golf Club is seeking motivated and dependable Greenskeepers to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining the golf course and surrounding grounds to ensure exceptional playing conditions and an outstanding experience for our Members and guests. Greenskeepers work outdoors in a team-oriented environment and play a critical role in preserving the beauty, safety, and playability of the course.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, and practice areas using specialized equipment
Rake bunkers and maintain proper sand depth and presentation
Operate and maintain landscaping and turf equipment safely and effectively
Perform course setup duties, including moving tee markers, setting hole locations, and placing signage
Trim around trees, bunkers, water hazards, and landscaped areas
Assist with irrigation tasks, including hand watering and identifying system issues
Maintain clubhouse grounds, landscaping beds, and common areas
Remove debris, leaves, and trash from course and grounds
Follow all safety procedures and maintenance standards
Support special projects as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
Qualifications
Previous landscaping, golf course maintenance, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment (training provided)
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor including walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
Schedule Requirements
Early morning, weekday, weekend, and holiday availability may be required
Flexible scheduling based on course needs and seasonality
