About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the immaculate maintenance and development of their prestigious golf courses. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of turfgrass health, playability, and aesthetic appeal.

You will manage a team of groundskeepers and technicians, utilizing cutting-edge agronomic practices and sustainable resource management. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a renowned golfing facility from a remote vantage point, contributing strategic insights and operational oversight to a world-class operation, and playing a pivotal role in maintaining the exceptional reputation of the club.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans for turfgrass management, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control strategies. Supervise, train, and mentor a team of groundskeepers, assistant superintendents, and seasonal staff to ensure efficient workflow and high performance. Manage the course maintenance budget, including labor, equipment, and material costs, ensuring fiscal responsibility.

Oversee the operation and maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring safety and optimal functionality. Implement and champion sustainable course management practices, including water conservation and integrated pest management. Collaborate with golf professionals and club management on course conditioning and special event preparation to enhance the player experience.

Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Head Superintendent at a reputable golf facility. Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, or a related field. Proven expertise in turfgrass physiology, soil science, pest and disease management, and irrigation systems. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Proficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and record-keeping. Certification by a recognized professional organization (e.g., GCSAA) is highly desirable.
