About Us

The Role

The HR Coordinator is the heart of our people operations, and the go-to resource for every team member across golf, food and beverage, facilities, and administration. This role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through benefits, payroll, engagement, and separation. We're looking for someone who is naturally positive and approachable, and who sees HR as a way to build culture, teamwork, and pride in where we work.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Manage the full recruitment cycle: posting openings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and extending offers in partnership with department heads.

• Lead a warm, organized onboarding experience, including scheduling and running new-hire and benefits orientation, so new hires feel welcome and prepared from day one.

• Maintain accurate employee records and new-hire documentation, including original I-9s with copies of identification, emergency contact information, and required compliance paperwork.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

• Administer payroll processing through UKG, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll questions.

• Act as the primary resource for employee benefits, including healthcare, 401(k), and PTO, helping team members understand and make the most of their options.

• Coordinate open enrollment, benefits changes, and communication with providers.

• Coordinate FMLA and personal leaves of absence, keeping employees and managers informed throughout.

• Report workers’ compensation claims to the carrier and follow each claim through to resolution.

Employee Relations, Performance & Separations

• Handle employee separations professionally and with respect, including terminations, exit interviews, and offboarding.

• Support managers with employee relations matters, documentation, and policy guidance.

• Conduct workplace investigations, including harassment complaints and other employee relations concerns, and consult with the General Manager before outcomes are decided.

• Serve as a witness for disciplinary meetings, suspensions, and terminations as needed.

• Coordinate the annual performance appraisal process and help managers deliver timely, meaningful reviews.

Culture & Engagement

• Conduct regular employee check-ins to keep a pulse on morale and address concerns early.

• Design and administer employee surveys, including an annual employee opinion survey, and help turn the feedback into action.

• Produce the employee newsletter, celebrating achievements, milestones, and team news.

• Plan and run team-building events, and administer and promote rewards and recognition programs that reinforce culture, teamwork, and incentives.

Compliance, Safety & HR Operations

• Plan and carry out HR initiatives and programs that support the club’s business objectives.

• Maintain HR systems and processes that keep the club compliant with federal, state, and county employment laws.

• Maintain organized personnel files, including new-hire paperwork, disciplinary action forms, and performance reviews.

• Keep employee bulletin boards and required federal and state labor law posters current and accurate.

• Ensure department managers conduct required safety trainings.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally in hospitality, private clubs, or another service-driven environment.

• Hands-on experience with recruitment, onboarding, and terminations.

• Experience with UKG preferred; experience with another third-party payroll processor will be considered.

• Working knowledge of employee benefits administration (health insurance, 401(k)); experience here is a strong plus.

• A genuinely positive, approachable personality, someone employees feel comfortable coming to.

• Strong organizational skills, discretion with confidential information, and good judgment.

• Clear, friendly communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Regular and reliable attendance.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

• SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification is a plus but not required.

What We Offer

• Hourly pay of $25–$35, based on experience

• Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and 401(k)

• Paid time off

• Staff meals

• Complimentary parking

• Golf privileges on Mondays

• A beautiful waterfront workplace and a supportive, team-oriented culture
